If your team is interested in joining these FREE TOC legs, here are 3 simple steps for the Team Captains:

    • Each team captain must have mobiusonline account.
      • Not yet a member? Click here to sign up!
    • Each team captain must send an email to dota@mobius.ph and provide the following details:
      • Emai subject: mobiusgames DotA Tournament of Champions (TOC)
      • Team captain's mobiusonline username
      • Team captain's GG username
      • Team name
    • Venue in GG: Philippines Arena Mobius DotA VIP Room 01
  • Please visit the Mobius forums for the match-ups and schedules for each leg.
    • The GM will fill up the slots per leg based on a 1st come, 1st served basis. Once a leg has been filled out, another leg will be opened. This will continue until a leg can no longer be filled out by the existing teams.
    • The GM will be posting the single elimination match up schedules of the teams per leg on a daily basis.
      • Legs will be posted on the website forum. One leg per thread.
      • When posting the team match ups, the GM will include the email address of the captains for each team so that the teams can coordinate regarding their schedules for the match. The Captains can also communicate through the forum that their leg is on.
      • After the match ups have been posted, teams will have 2 days to schedule and finish their match.
      • If the GM does not receive an update on the 3rd day at 2:00PM after the match has been posted, both teams will be given an automatic loss and will be out of the leg. When this happens, the tournament fee is non-refundable.
    • If a team has completed a match, that team has to wait until they have been scheduled against another team within the leg.
  • Host selection:
    • One member of either of the competing teams can host but both teams should agree upon it. The team who is not hosting will get the first hero pick / first hero elimination choice.
  • Reporting the winner of a match:
    • After the game, both Captains should save the replay for reference and get the final score screenshot as evidence for disputes.
    • Winning team Captain should send the screenshot to dota@mobius.ph. Please see How To section for more information on how to send a screenshot.
  • Paying out the champion of a leg:
    • GM determines winning team and members based on screenshot and/or replay.
    • GM updates the Tournament of Champion bracket to include the champion team of the LEG.
    • Email notifications sent out to the Team Captain and all team members that the they have qualified for the Tournament of Champions.

Match Rules:

  • Game requirements:
    • Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne with patch 1.21a.
    • Game map that will be used is DotA All Stars 6.49b.
  • All Pick game command should be used in -xl mode. (1 Euls/1 Guinsoo, 1 Meka, 1 Necro per Team)
  • Character picking has to follow the 122221 rule.
  • Backdooring is allowed. However, instances of teleport abuse are not allowed. Players cannot use any form of teleport (Furion skill, Ignis Fatuus, or Boots of Travel) to enter an enemy base UNLESS your creeps are already present in the base. So, for example, teleporting with Boots of Travel onto an Ignis Fatuus that runs in to backdoor is illegal. Another example is having your teammates backdoor and enters an enemy base and then teleport to your teammates as Furion. This is illegal because your creep wave is not present. Some of these measures have since been restricted in recent map versions in support of this rule.
  • Save Game and Disconnection:
    • Disconnection of a team member will not forfeit the game. The game continues until either side wins.
      • There will be NO replays. The team member that is first disconnected or deliberately exits and cannot reconnect to complete the existing running game will be disqualified.
    • If a whole team is disconnected, the remaining team is considered the winner.
    • Optional: To ensure that there are no issues with the host disconnecting the game, when 1st blood happens, the game will be saved once for a back up save game by each of the Captains. After the 1st blood at every 30 minutes interval, the game will be saved for a back up save game, or saved after a major clash.
      • Both Captains should agree which saved game is to be reloaded in the event of a host disconnection.
